Jessica Jaymes was born Jessica Redding on March 8, 1979, in Anchorage, Alaska. She spent her early years in Alaska, raised by her father, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent and undercover cop, and her mother, a homemaker. After her parents separated when she was three, she relocated frequently due to her father’s career, eventually settling in Arizona during her teenage years. She graduated from Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona, in 1997 and briefly worked as an elementary school teacher before exploring other opportunities. Her ethnicity was a blend of Czech and French descent from her mother and Seminole Native American from her father, and she identified as American. Professionally, she was known as Jessica Jaymes, a stage name she chose upon entering the adult industry, with occasional early credits as “Jessica James.” Her entry into adult content began in 2002 at age 23, when she started stripping in Tucson, Arizona, after growing dissatisfied with teaching.
